The ISSAC LogoThe ISSAC logo was designed for ISSAC'90, held in Tokyo, Japan (Paul Wang being SIGSAM chair at the time). The dots are the ASCII code for the letters ISSAC, as they would appear on a paper tape. The letters to the right of the dots spell ISSAC when looked at sideways, and remind us of the symbols minus, approximately equal, greater than and parenthesis, when viewed normally.
