SCDDE 2026: Symbolic Computation and Differential and Difference Equations

Overview

The aim of this workshop is to highlight symbolic methods and their underlying theories for differential and difference equations (DDEs), with particular emphasis on their applications in engineering and scientific research. The program will cover, among other topics:

  • Analysis of DDEs and their solutions
  • Symbolic methods for solving DDEs
  • Symbolic summation and integration
  • Symbolic methods for integro-differential equations
  • Applications of symbolic techniques in domains such as mathematics (combinatorics, number theory), computer science (algorithm analysis), physics (particle physics), and biology (reaction networks).
This workshop also aims to serve as a catalyst for strengthening and expanding research activities at the Research Institute for Symbolic Computation (RISC), particularly in areas being advanced by the institute's two newly appointed professors.
