We would like to encourage presentations of interesting but "not-yet-polished" ideas, in particular unconventional proposals carrying the potential of creating new bridges between Biology and Symbolic Computation. We also welcome preliminary results from current research projects.
Ideas can be described in plenary Short Communications (talks of 15 min), accompanied by posters presented during the conference. We require abstracts of 1-5 pages briefly explaining the ideas. Abstracts will be reviewed and then distributed in a special booklet at the conference. Please note that the abstracts will not be included in the proceedings.
Submissions should be prepared in LaTeX and formatted according to the Springer LNCS style, using this template. Abstracts are to be submitted electronically as pdf files via the EasyChair system.
Deadline for abstract submission: May 6, 2008
Notification of acceptance: May 13, 2008
Submissions should be at most 15 pages including references, prepared in LaTeX and formatted according to the Springer LNCS style. Additional material intended for the referees but not for publication in the final version (e.g. proof details) may be placed in a clearly marked appendix that is not included in the page limit.
Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed, and accepted papers will appear in the proceedings before the conference. The proceedings will be published in the Springer LNCS series. Papers and abstracts are to be submitted electronically as pdf files via the EasyChair system.
Revised versions of selected papers may later be submitted to
if they substantially extend the ideas and topics published in the Proceeding Volume.
