ABSTRACT: Mathematical software systems like Mathematica, Maple, Derive, etc. are based on significant advances of the area of mathematics that is called "computer algebra" or "symbolic computation". In fact, most of what students learn during their math education in high-school and also in the first semesters of math curricula at the universities is now available "by pressing the appropriate buttons" in math systems. Is math education, hence, superfluous? In the three sections of this paper we answer this question for non-mathematicians, for mathematicians, and for (future) students of mathematics.
