Social Program

Thursday, July 5

On Thursday, July 5, 20:00, a reception will take place in the cellar of the
Schlossrestaurant Hagenberg
(at the conference venue in Castle of Hagenberg) with a tasting of various Austrian wines.

Friday, July 6

In the evening of Friday, July 6, the conference banquet will take place in the
Schlossbrauerei Weinberg
the beer brewery of the castle of Weinberg founded in the 14th century.

A bus will bring us at 18:30 from Hagenberg to Weinberg where we will first have an easy walk (3km, about 1 hour) along the Bierlehrpfad, a hiking path where at various stations the art of beer brewing is explained.

Alternatively (depending on the weather conditions), we may also visit the Flügelaltar Kefermarkt, a winged altarpiece (triptych) which was created in 1490-1497 and represents one of the main pieces of Gothic art in the German-speaking countries.

In the Schlossbrauerei, we will have a tasting of various Austrian beers and enjoy dinner accompanied by live Austrian folk music. At 23:30, the bus bus will return to Hagenberg.

Saturday, July 7

On Saturday, July 7, a big
Knights' Festivity
will take place in Linz. The city center will be filled with medieval markets, jugglers, trick riding, sword fights, and tournaments. A fire show will be performed on the city's main square from 22:00-23:00.

We will offer a bus running
